When you’re a Cub Scout you do all sorts of fun things like camping, building race cars and bird houses, playing sports, going on field trips, and learning about wild animals. While you’re having fun, you earn badges and awards that show what you’ve learned.

Every Scout is a member of a pack — a large group of children. The pack is divided into smaller groups called dens. All the Cub Scouts in a den are about the same age and live in the same area, and meet about once a week throughout the year. So, even if you’re new to the den, chances are you know some of the kids in your group. And if you don’t, you’ll get to make new friends.

Cub Scouts are broken down into three groups, according to grade level and age — Tiger Cubs, Cub Scouts and Webelos Scouts — and depending upon age, get to do different and gradually more advanced activities.
