Hello I am Cubmaster David, I am excited to be part of Pack 242 representing Grand Terrace and South Colton. When our pack was restarted in April 2018, I offered to lend my experience to help the scouts grow. This initially placed me as Lion Guide, as my son was that rank. I was quickly trained to fill the Cubmaster position as the pack grew rapidly in the first months. I also act as interim Webelos Den Leader working with 4th and 5th Graders to prepare them for Boy Scouts.
I grew up in Chino, CA and was a Webelos Scout in 4th and 5th grade with pack 205 earning Arrow of Light, then moving on to Boy Scouts. At the time our Leaders decided to start our own Troop (Troop 205) opposed joining another. Watching this process over the years gave me a sense of what scouting means and the family support it takes to make a successful Pack and Troop. I have held nearly every Boy Scout Leadership Position, and a member of the Order of The Arrow as well. After earning Eagle Scout in 1999 and shortly after turning 18 I remained with Troop 205 as Asst. Scoutmaster for 2 years and attending SALT until I moved to the San Bernardino area.
For the last 15 years I have been the General Manager of Fiesta Village Family Fun Park in Colton developing and training the young adults of the community in their first jobs, as well as attending and leading conferences nation wide about Theme Park Safety, Management, and Staff Development. Now as Cubmaster I get the great honor of not only introducing my son to scouting to continue this tradition but my Wife Casey as well, who has heard many stories about Boy Scouts and now gets to see first hand what it is all about.
My goal for scouting is that our Pack continues to grow and our Cub Scouts move on to Boys Scouts and Eagle Scout with enthusiasm, passion and a dedication that some of our countries greatest Athletes, Entertainers, Professionals, Executives, Military, Astronauts, Politicians, and Presidents have been a part of.
Once a Scout, Always a Scout!
